Properrrr Roads

This morning i was probably the most nervous i had ever been REAL ROADS, but in the end i seemed to do alright
the lesson didnt exactly start well, he didnt show up, he was 15minutes late, how rude!
when we finally got started i managed to come to grips with a road quite quickly

ended up doing 50 down a really dodgy road
also drove home today which was really cool

but not before i stopped to admire 2 policemen chasing a white ford!
but on the whole, not a bad lesson :)

Hours 3-4/Second Driving Lesson

yet again, really buzzing today....
i've come back thinking I've done really well... managed to sort out the clutch while driving, also i have started to stop smoothly, but not necessarily in the correct place ha ha

also i did turning left and turning right on a Tee Junction, and learning to turn "by the book" as he put it.

already i think i've come along way, but next week has got me nervous already, he said "lets try our way at the main road next week i think"

considering i was nervous about today's lesson... next week i'm gonna be in pieces, but for now, i'm on a real high.

MY FIRST DRIVING LESSON

Today is my birthday, and have been waiting for this day for the past 17years, DRIVING!!!

I've been annoying friends and family counting down the hours minutes and seconds till my lesson.

As he pulled up outside, i became very nervous, and got into the passengers seat.... he was on the phone to the Mrs. He then hung up shook my hand and congratulated me on my birthday... Thanks :) but JUST LET ME DRIVEEEE!!!

we then set off, him driving, down the Westonzoyland Airfield, about 10minutes from my house, as we approached i realised that i was not the only one going to be a learner in the airfield... there was a Lorry Driving learner over the other side of it. This wasn't exactly making me feel "comfortable" to be honest.

We did small paper work and then afterwards we booked up my next 4 lessons, positive thinking! He then said "let change places"... WOOHOO! thought he'd never ask.

we changed places and i instantly felt a lot more like a driver. he went through the basic controls like for instance... "how the steering wheel worked". as if i didn't know! ha ha, then it was time to start....

:O
well for the next hour i was trying round in circles, messing up gear changes etc. then i had to stop between two cones, every single time i messed up my timing and forgot the clutch

i eventually was getting better, and he then said "sod this, lets go up to town"

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

what a scary thought, REAL ROADS, REAL PEOPLE, REAL CARS :O the whole way there i was reminiscing about how I'm "crap" with the clutch.

we pulled up at the side of the road, he went through the safety checks, and we were off

it is soooooo much easier on a road to drive than a massive space of concrete. i had to follow all of the roads round the corner, kept messing it up... going on the wrong side of the road, god knows what else

by the time he had said "c'mon lets go back now", i seemed to have mastered changes into second gear, but still struggling with the brakes AND THE CLUTCH annoying!!!!

on the way back he mentioned how impressed he was considering it is the first time i have been behind a wheel

and ill see him next Thursday, personally, i want another lesson right now, I'm that buzzing =)

BRING ON NEXT WEEK!!!
